Denture Relines

Make the most of your dentures with a denture reline

Your dentures are an investment in your health and wellbeing. Make sure they’re still working the best they can for you with a denture reline. If you’re experiencing looseness in your dentures, discomfort, or poor functionality, then come see us for a reline.

Natural changes in the shape of your gums and jawbone can cause your denture to become ill-fitting over time. You might notice more difficulty when you eat and chew, a little bit more trouble with speaking, or general discomfort. These are all signs you need to come along and see us for a denture reline.

We recommend relines every 3-5 years for your comfort

Like we said, you’ll want to come along as soon as you notice you’re having trouble with speaking or eating, or when you’re noticing an unusual amount of discomfort in your dentures. But as a rule of thumb, you’ll probably need a denture reline every three to five years.

Denture relines aim to increase the stability of your denture by relining it to ensure it fits your gums and jawbones as perfectly as possible. At Galon Dental Prosthetics, we’re specialists in dentures and relines and will work with you to restore and enhance your comfort and the functionality of your dentures.

We take a therapeutic approach to denture relines & your comfort

We really care about our patients and your comfort. With our next-level expertise and serious attention to detail, we create excellent fit and function in every denture reline we complete.

But that’s not what keeps our patients coming back to us. It’s the therapeutic approach we take, where we work with you to understand any fit or retention issues you’re experiencing and take the time to understand exactly how we can reline your denture for the best fit.

Improve the stability and retention of your dentures

Denture relines are designed to revisit your dentures and make any necessary improvements to improve the stability and retention of your dentures. It’s how we improve the function of your appliance as you speak and chew, and how we improve your general comfort as you wear and live with your dentures.

It’s all about creating a secure fit that feels snug in your mouth.

We're big on patient-centred denture therapy.

We want to give you the very best chance for success with your denture reline. We do this through patient-centred denture therapy. We’re not just technicians who take impressions of your mouth and create a custom denture, although we absolutely do that, and we do it well. That’s just the final and, in our opinion, least important step of the process.

It’s our conversations with you, where we gain a real understanding of how your denture is fitting and any problems you’re having, and work to define these issues so we can improve your comfort, that makes the difference.  You’re always welcome to ask us any questions you might have, and we’ll provide you with education about dentures, too.
